The Vrebac quarry, located approximately 2 km above Vrebac along the Vrebac trail near Zelinovac, has not been used for many years.
Once a source of construction material, it has been neglected for years and is increasingly being used as a waste disposal site. Waste is also being dumped around the perimeter of the quarry. It is time for the quarry to be rehabilitated and for its use as an illegal dumping site to be prohibited. The sign that once warned against illegal dumping was not visible today.
Access to the quarry from the eastern side, where a forest road passes only approximately 4–5 metres from the edge of the cliff, is dangerous because there is no protective railing to prevent people from falling into the depths.
